Renting a car is the fastest and most autonomous way to reach the hostel and the various cities and tourist spots around. We recommend booking your car in advance, online you will find deals for major car rental companies located in Palermo and Trapani airports. 

We suggest taking witnessing photos/videos once you take the car. Listed below are other local car/motorcycle rental companies near the hostel:

It is certainly the cheapest way to reach us but sometimes also the most complicated one because of not very developed lines (especially the train one) and infrequent schedules. 

Below are the various options; there is no one- size-fits-all solution, you will have to build your own route, based on where you arrive and/or depart. 

We strongly recommend checking your schedule and connections as the area is not well connected, even before booking a flight; during nighttime hours, most of the public transportation listed below do not operate! Ticket purchase is available online. The closest public transportation to us are the Trapani-Marsala airport and the Mozia-Birgi Train Station.

Palermo Airport – Trapani Airport with Autoservizi Salemi ROUTE 1
Shuttle bus service run by the company”Autoservizi Salemi” that connects the two airports. Check the timetable here

Palermo airport – Marsala Train Station with Autoservizi Salemi ROUTE 2
Second option is the shuttle bus “Autoservizi Salemi” with arrival Marsala’s train station. Check the timetable here

Palermo airport – Trapani City with Segesta Autolinee
The shuttle bus company “Segesta autolinee” drives you to Trapani Train Station with several stops in the city. You must get off at the second last stop on Mazzini Street,in front of Umberto I Square. On the other side of the square is the Central Train Station. Check the timetable here.

Another option is to get off at Segesta Autolinee’s last stop, in front of the harbor, and then catch the bus (LINE 311) which takes you to the Trapani-Marsala airport. Check the timetable here

Trapani City – Mozia-Birgi train station
From Trapani’s train station you can take a train to the “Mozia-Birgi” station which is about a 40 min walk from the hostel. Check the timetable here

During the summer period (June – September), a bus departing from the Train station is available (LINE 4) and has a stop at “Contrada San Leonardo,” the village where the hostel is located and the stop is about a 10-minute walk away. 

PLEASE NOTE: CAB SERVICE IN MARSALA CITY IS HARDLY AVAILABLE AFTER MIDNIGHT, PLEASE EVALUATE THE TIMES WELL!

Mozia-Birgi train station – Hostel
Please note that there are no cabs outside the train station or on the street. The options are walking to the hostel (30 min approx.) or our pick up shuttle service at a cost of 5€ between 8 am and 6 pm. After these hours, availability and price are to be agreed upon. Here’s the route by foot

There are no cabs outside the train station or on the street We strongly advice not walking this road in the evening as the first part of the road is dimly lit and has no sidewalks.

Trapani-Marsala Airport-Hostel
From Trapani Airport we can pick you up with our shuttle service at the cost of 7€ between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. After these hours, availability and price is to be agreed upon. 

We strongly advice not walking this road at no time of the day as the road It’s not suitable for pedestrian since it has no sidewalks and at night it’s dimly lit.
